If you are not familiar with the CFL please read this.
Many Americans look up on the CFL and they consider it an amateur league.They can't be more wrong.The CFL is older than the NFL and the championship is over a hundred years old. Even though the CFL has been around for a while, the league struggles to stay alive and the players are paid an average of 80000$ per seasons with only a handful of players receiving more than the NFL minimum wage.Think about it 80000! And don't forget that some players are paid 45000$ (you can skip high school and get 45000$ per year).The players don't live in mansions, they live in suburbs, they don't drive Ferraris, they drive Chevrolets and so on.Why would someone decide to play in this league?(some CFL players could arguably make it to the NFL in my opinion)They play in this league because it's their passion and their life!
So next time you hear about the CFL, please listen you might hear about some great football!
